There are a bunch of in game bugs. Places you can spawn and not advance from. A bug that when you load all you see is sky and literally ruins a save. An area where you knock a tree down and after passing it, it erects itself and wont let you go back (which is necessary to do). Lots of little bugs that currently ruin the enjoyment for me. When fixed the game could be really fun and different from other games.

The graphics and idea of the deer God are great. The controls and gameplay are bad and frustrating. Even for the current discount price its not worth it. Its a $1.99 game at best.

After a few hours playing the character and background disappear and the is no way to get them back after rebooting the game several times. Great I just cant play anymore . Such major bugs at a release is a shame.

First, let me say that this is a great, complex and entertaining game. The graphics are gorgeous, the gameplay is nice, its also quite challenging and theres a ton of secrets to discover. However, version 1.0 is simply unplayable. As other reviewers mentioned, theres quite a lot of MAJOR bugs that makes it impossible to play the game and will ruin your save: respawning in impossible to get off from places, respawning as an enemy and being unable to move or jump (I respawned several times as a porcupine), respawning and theres nothing but the sky (no graphic or anything, just the sky background)... Its excessively annoying to have to start everything all over again all the time because the game is full of bugs... Honestly, I feel like this game has not been beta tested at all. ANY beta would have detected those bugs instantly, seeing has I got them all within an hour of regular gameplay on one of Apples lastest device (iPhone 6 plus) If you want to buy this game, my advice is to wait for another version. This buggy version will only bring you frustation.

My character and backgrounds also disappeared. Ive had to delete the whole game because I dont wish to start all over. Should have saved my money, definitely not worth it.

The game looks great but runs poorly on the iOS so far. The game hasnt been on the App Store for that long, so Im hoping a update will come out thatll let me get past the intro...

The controls are very buggy, even when understood: I have swiped in a very controlled manner many times in a row - sometimes I dash, sometimes I jump, sometimes I stay still. I have no idea what most of the game features do. Reincarnating as a porcupine is a flat waste of time. How does a porcupine kill a deer (or why), anyways. I am very disappointed, after my 8bit expectations were set by Swords and Sworcery. Please fix this game and make it playable.

Really wanted to like. Did not like. Choppy play on iPad mini 2 retina. Felt pointless after a few hours play.

Never know how or when Ill respawn, or what anything means, or how to save. The scenery is boring and repetitive.

I put 3 stars and i really hope that it is going to be improved as game is really new and needs to be improved and a lot of things have to be added

It says they updated to fix what was wrong with the game which was the controls . Still NoT Fixed!!! My gosh this company makes great games and I understand they dont do beta testing but sometime u absolutely have to!

The game is great so far, and quite beautiful. The only things I have problems with are the controls are off and broken along with the barriers that dont allow me to continue playing through the game. I would hope to actually beat the game some day, so if you could fix the bugs, the game would easily be one of my favorites.

I have been playing The Deer God for a year and I still love it. However, I was wondering if the dev could somehow create a multiplayer server like in the PC version? Having the two options of choosing to play Single Player or a random player in Multiplayer would add more to the game since playing solo does get a tad boring after a while. Perhaps you could invite friends by social media (Facebook, Twitter, etc.)? I hope you do read my review, thank you.

If you love platforms you wont regret it

Great platformer meets RPG and the graphics, sound and atmosphere help paint a great picture. It is hard and a bit brutal if you die but thats the part I like. I thought going in that it may be too easy for my liking and I was wrong its pretty tough at times and thats intentional. Get it now while its on sale for launch!

The Deer God is a great game, Ive played it on the Xbox, and I would love to play it on my mobile phone. But so far, I cant even attack by swiping left or right, Please fix

Wow. Cant believe this is on iPhones right when its Xbox gold of the month. Good atmospheric game. Different from about anything Ive ever played. If you dont have an xbone you gotta get it on your phones.

Bought this game by mistake, and cant get a refund. I feel like with the amount of money I spend in the App Store every month I should be entitled to a refund when I accidentally buy a game. I gave this a try and I dont get it at all. It has a cool look but its pretty boring. There just isnt enough meat to sink your teeth into.There are also a ton of bugs and glitches I encountered just in the short time I played it. Seemed more like a beta version then a game worthy of the seven bucks I spent on it by accident. Honestly this game is maybe worthy of 99 cents.

Dont buy this until it is fixed. You are supposed to be able to swipe left or right in the middle of the screen but it does nothing. Wait for an update
